John Chopelas arrived at Scott Field on February 21, 1942. He took these photographs during hois stay in radio school. The physical layout was not a whole lot differen in 1944, on the atmosphere.
On January 19, 1944 Major Robert F. Brownlee became commanding officer of the 368 TSS. 2nd Lt. Thomas F. Daly II, the assistant adjutant was transfered and became the supply officer. 1st Lt. Paul K. Wolfe became the adjutant but didn't last long. On February 5, he was moved out and Lt. Robert E. Connell became the adjutant.
The strength of the squadron had become quite small by 1944; however, the great influx of cadets transferred out of the Aviation Cadet program increased the number of students to a number larger than the school could handle. On March 26, 1944 the school went on three shifts to take care of the large numbers. On April 30, 1955, in a reorganization, the the 368th TSS was dropped and the students were organzed into Sctions.
